The Opportunity
We are seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician to support testing, analysis, and development activities across a range of organic and inorganic substances. This role will play a key part in ensuring product quality, process optimisation, and compliance with strict technical and safety standards.
You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver accurate and reliable laboratory outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
* Test organic and inorganic substances and materials
* Conduct chemical and physical analysis of samples
* Perform measurements and experiments independently
Process Development & Optimisation
* Examine chemical processes and identify improvement opportunities
* Support development and optimisation of synthesis and preparation methods
* Assist in producing and refining chemical mixtures and formulations
Data Recording & Reporting
* Document test procedures, results, and observations accurately
* Analyse and evaluate data using computer-based systems
* Ensure traceability and compliance of all laboratory activities
Safety & Compliance
* Operate in line with laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling regulations
* Maintain a safe and compliant working environment at all times
Skills & Experience
Qualifications
* Experience in laboratory work and chemical analysis
* Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling standards
Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar laboratory or technical role
* Experience working in regulated or quality-controlled environments preferred
Core Skills
* High attention to detail with strong quality awareness
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong team collaboration skills, particularly with production and QA functions
* Flexible approach with willingness to support wider operational needs
