Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a key role in our Metering team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting various properties throughout the day, working on Smart Meters in both homes and businesses.
Key responsibilities include reconnecting Gas and Electric Smart Meters, changing SIM cards, modems, and small gain aerials, re-joining smart devices to the network while in contact with energy companies and exchanging batteries on gas meters. You will also complete site surveys and other support tasks that require a field-based engineer to visit properties.
Requirements
* You will be located in one of those postcode areas: BH, PO, SP, DT.
* Good geographical knowledge of your local and surrounding areas is key for this role.
* Quick to learn and eager to grasp new tasks and opportunities.
* Ability to use hand tools effectively.
* Experience with handheld tools is important.
* Ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders while ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
* Self-motivated and organised, as this is a lone working role.
* Dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
* Some electrical knowledge or qualification would be beneficial.
