About the Role
As the Head of Talent Acquisition & Mobility, you will report to the Chief People Officer to lead the organisation's workforce strategy, setting the direction for talent acquisition, workforce planning and internal mobility.
This role requires true leadership, guiding, influencing and empowering your team and key stakeholders while navigating complexity to deliver outcomes. While primarily strategic, you will remain close to delivery, supporting strategic and senior hires when needed and ensuring the team is enabled to perform at a high level.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of talent acquisition and workforce planning strategies aligned to business objectives
* Provide clear direction, structure and leadership to a geographically dispersed team, ensuring alignment and accountability
* Solve complex workforce challenges through data, insight and commercial thinking
* Establish and optimise frameworks, systems and processes to improve hiring outcomes and operational effectiveness
* Influence and partner with senior stakeholders to drive informed decision making and workforce outcomes
* Build and maintain strong external talent pipelines through agencies, networks and industry partnerships
* Oversee internal and global mobility practices in collaboration with international stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes, systems and candidate experience
Skills & Background
* Proven experience in a strategic leadership role, leading talent acquisition, workforce planning or sourcing functions
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, fostering accountability and engagement in a dynamic environment
* Strong track record of solving complex problems and driving outcomes in fast-paced, technical environments
* Commercial mindset with the ability to translate business strategy into workforce solutions
* Advanced capability in using data and insights to influence decisions and performance
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, particularly at senior levels
* Experience in defence, engineering, or project-driven environments is highly regarded
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain Defence security clearance
