About the Role
This is a diverse role that works over three main areas; supporting our manufacturing workshop, working as ground crew for the fire and ag season as well as maintaining the Tintinara air base. This is a great all-rounder position for someone keen to join a growing, successful South Australian business in the aviation industry.
This is a casual position based in Tintinara and will be rostered up to five days per week typically across Monday to Friday. Shift start and finish times can be dependent on weather and fire conditions, so would suit someone with a flexible approach to hours and days.
On-the-job training will be provided for all duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Mixing, loading and unloading of chemicals into aircraft during the agricultural season.
* Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
* Providing ground support for aircraft throughout the agricultural and fire seasons.
* Maintaining loading equipment.
* Driving fuel trucks.
* Performing general housekeeping across the office, shed, yard, hangar and airbase to maintain effective operations.
* Maintaining detailed records and manage documentation.
* Performing work using safe practices and observing WHS requirements at all times.
* Assisting the Engineer in the manufacturing of equipment including assisting with metal fabrication and welding.

* This is an outdoor based role, a good level of physical fitness, the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour tasks as well as work in unfavourable conditions is required.
* Driver's licence.
* Forklift licence, unrestricted HR and DG truck licence (desirable).
* Experience in welding and metal fabrication (desirable).
