What You'll Be Doing
To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development
and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
* Describe a time when you provided a complex clinical assessment and intervention using evidence-based therapeutic techniques; to support an older adult. How did you tailor your approach to meet the individual needs of the consumer, and what was the outcome?
* How have you contributed to the development or supervision of others in a clinical setting? Please include examples of providing supervision to psychologists or students, supporting multidisciplinary teams, or leading quality improvement or research initiatives.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
