This Year 3 / 4 class has a maximum of 15 students, so it is an ideal teaching and learning environment with virtually zero behaviour issues and passionate, dedicated students who want to learn.
Sinai College is an inclusive, dynamic school that is open to all. Our classes are multi-age, catering to the unique learning and social needs of our students with a newly written ACARA V9 curriculum.
We are seeking a full time teacher for a 2-term contract with the option to extend. This is a maternity leave contract for Terms 2 and 3, with the possibility of extension or an ongoing role. Ideally the successful candidate will be available for handover and casual teaching in Term 1 to facilitate a smooth transition.
The successful applicant will:
* Hold current registration with Qld College of Teachers;
* Have relevant knowledge in teaching the Australian V9 curriculum
* Be collegiate and willing to work together with teachers and other specialists;
* Have an understanding of the Australia curriculum and a willingness to plan and implement units of work.
Duties will include:
* Teaching of core subjects in a multi-age Year 3/4 classroom;
* Some unit planning and resource development
* Managing small classes for effective learning;
* Differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners;
* Some other duties such as PGD and attending staff meetings.
