About the opportunity An opportunity to join a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team providing support to consumers experiencing mental illness, their families and referring agencies. Part Time – Permanent Role Provide quality and high-level mental health assessments, formulations and recommendations for clients that have been referred. Offer consultation to referring teams and recommend appropriate service linkages Attend regular multidisciplinary clinical reviews to discuss referrals escalate challenging situations as appropriate Additional expectation about the role: Possess critical skills set in providing assessment and monitoring of patients' physical and mental state and confidence in putting relapse management plans and safely managing a deteriorating consumer Provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers in times of need. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to advocate for clients as and when required Be available to offer clinical supervision to junior staff members when required. Possess exceptional judgement skills which will support the prioritization of referrals. What you will bring to this position: Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management. The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
