About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Cloud-First strategy, where you will be fundamental in defining, establishing and managing the financial management practices across our multi-cloud landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement and perform Domain-specific FinOps functions/practices, including billing/invoice management, cost chargeback/showback, forecasting/utilisation tracking, cost optimisation, and operation/delivery financial metrics & reporting.
* Drive Domain FinOps adoption and maturity by working with key stakeholders to embed financial/cost management (FinOps) practices into their day-to-day operations, helping accelerate outcomes (e.g. cost reduction/optimisation) and drive FinOps rhythms/ceremonies within Domain.
* Own initiatives and projects both internally and externally, demonstrating valuable leadership.
* Identify and resolve blockers in realising value from cloud platforms and develop relevant solutions.
* Track and manage operational & project costs incurred across the group and manage Financial Year operational budget planning for the cloud platforms.
Requirements
* 5+ years of demonstrated public cloud knowledge and experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Experience with public cloud financial components/concepts, eg cost & usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.
* Experience with establishing and/or operating cost optimisation initiatives across complex Platform & Cloud environments focusing on key levers.
* Experience with establishing cloud chargeback and/or showback for business units/projects to be accountable for their cloud usage/spend.
* Experience with interrogating billing & usage data to create key cost insights and reports/dashboards across Cloud, License, Partner & Operational budgets.
* Strong data/financial analysis and reporting skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at a senior executive level with a can-do attitude.
