Position Overview
Café Kutea is seeking an experienced and motivated full time Cook to join our professional and friendly team. Australian citizens and permanent residents are highly encouraged to apply. Candidates must hold valid Australian work authorisation including appropriate work visa.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present café-style breakfast and brunch menu items
* Assist with menu planning and development of daily specials
* Ensure food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards
* Manage food preparation, stock control, and ordering of supplies
* Work efficiently during busy service periods
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
* Receive and check deliveries
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience as a Cook or Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of breakfast and café-style cooking
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced café environment
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
