The team at The Butler Canberra is looking for experienced aged care workers who are passionate about improving people's day to day experience and bringing more vitality to their lives.
The Opportunity
We are looking for dynamic and energetic people to provide Home Care Services. The role will encompass responsibility for both community based clients and those living in the retirement village at The Henry Canberra.
Must be available to work mornings and must be available for shifts at least three times per week.
Skills Required
The successful aged care workers will have:
* Relevant qualifications in healthcare (certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support, registered nurse, enrolled nurse, social work, allied health or welfare discipline);
* Knowledge and experience in Consumer Directed Care (CDC) and Home Care Packages;
* Preferred experience with dementia specific and palliative care; and
* A current ACT Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Your Duties
Depending on the role, the successful aged care workers will generally assist our clients with a range of domestic assistance, personal care, respite, transport, social and emotional support. This may include, but is not limited to:
* Assisting Clients with their personal care needs – this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene and other personal hygiene needs;
* Assisting Clients with cooking, food preparation and meal planning;
* Performing domestic/cleaning duties such as (but not limited to) vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds;
* Transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required; and
* Adhering to the documented and approved Care Plans and policies.
