And as our Reception and Administration Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis, in our Abuse Law team based in Coffs Harbour, you’ll work closely with our legal team to make a meaningful and long-lasting impact on our clients. You’ll be part of a connected team of authentic people who are as passionate as you are, and you’ll be visible and valued for who you are and what you bring. This role is based on our Coffs Harbour reception desk and will include meeting and greeting clients, and ensuring our front office, meeting rooms and facilities are kept clean and tidy.
Our Coffs Harbour office is also the home base of our Chief Legal Officer, so organising catering, meetings and conferences will be part of your role. With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Cultivating solid relationships and trust through empathy and understanding, interpreting client needs and connecting them with the right legal team members.
- Responding to inbound calls, couriers and emails from clients and other stakeholders, ensuring they feel looked after, supported and heard.
- Supporting our legal team with administrative tasks and optimising the use of internal systems to process information.
- Maintaining general filing, photocopying and archiving management to spot opportunities for improvement so that we can deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
- Assisting with preparing matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court and legal documents and general correspondence.
- Proactively providing chargeable and non-chargeable support to our legal team with general administrative duties to obtain maximum compensation for clients, from file opening to closure.
What you’ll bring
- Previous office administration experience is ideal, with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Professional presentation and a client service focus.
- A keen eye for detail in document management and collation skills.
- Great communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Organised, with initiative and a proactive nature.
- Empathetic with a passion for helping people, especially those who have undergone trauma.
- Understands the importance of being the gateway to support our clients.
- The ability to work 38 hours per week, between 8:15am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
