Overview
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Test Analyst with a strong background in the Utilities sector, particularly within Electricity and Gas domains. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and contribute to the quality assurance of complex systems. This role is a 6 months fixed-term employment based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct requirement analysis, write and execute test cases, and manage the defect lifecycle, preferably using HP ALM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards.
- Analyze and validate data using intermediate SQL skills.
- Understand and test processes related to NMI/MIRN lifecycles, meters, and billing concepts.
- Interpret and validate XML-based market communications.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of delivery.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Utilities domain (Electricity/Gas).
- Prior experience with the Gentrack application is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of market communication protocols and data formats.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively.
Skills & Tools
- SQL
- HP ALM or similar test management tools
- XML validation and interpretation
- Gentrack (preferred)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
