We’re seeking an experienced Head of Project Delivery to lead the national delivery of complex commercial energy projects, spanning solar PV, battery storage (BESS), EV charging and distributed energy solutions.
This is a senior leadership role and a key member of the Commercial Energy leadership team, accountable for the safe, timely and commercially successful delivery of a large and growing project portfolio across Australia.
The OpportunityYou’ll own the end-to-end delivery function post-sale — leading a multidisciplinary team and a national subcontractor network to ensure projects are delivered to scope, on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.With a strong commercial lens, you’ll protect margins, drive forecasting accuracy, uplift delivery governance, and standardise scalable delivery processes to support continued growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible ForOwning the national project delivery pipeline, ensuring predictable outcomes across safety, quality, schedule and costLeading and developing a high-performing Project Delivery team (PMs and Coordinators)Ensuring strong commercial outcomes, including margin protection, cost-to-complete accuracy, variation control and revenue recognitionEmbedding robust delivery governance, risk management, reporting and stage-gate controlsScaling and standardising delivery processes, tools and templates to improve consistency and execution speedManaging a national subcontractor delivery model, driving safety, quality and performance accountabilityPartnering closely with Sales, Engineering, Estimation, Finance and Commercial Operations to ensure smooth handovers and continuous improvementChampioning a customer-centric delivery experience, using structured feedback to drive improvementLeading a strong safety culture across employees and contractors, with clear accountability and compliance
What We’re Looking ForProven senior leadership experience in project delivery within a construction-style environmentStrong commercial and financial acumen, including margin management, forecasting and cost controlExperience delivering complex infrastructure, energy, or renewable projects at scaleDemonstrated capability managing subcontractors, suppliers and multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to drive cross-functional alignment and uplift delivery capability through process and governanceConfident stakeholder manager, comfortable owning escalation points and executive-level communication
Qualifications & Experience8+ years’ experience in senior project, operations or delivery leadership rolesBackground in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, construction or related sectors Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, CPEng or similar)Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related disciplineExposure to regulated environments with strong HSE requirementsWillingness to travel across Victoria and interstate as required
