Overview
Companion Home Care is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial performance, compliance, and sustainability of a growing in-home aged care business. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for delivering robust financial governance, commercial insights, and regulatory compliance across Home Care Packages and Support at Home services. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be a key strategic partner supporting business performance, growth, and risk management.
The Opportunity
You will own the end-to-end finance function, providing high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making while ensuring strong controls across funding, payroll, and aged care compliance.
Key focus areas include:
* Financial management, reporting, and commercial analysis
* Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow optimisation
* Aged care financial and prudential compliance
* Payroll oversight under the SCHADS Award
* Audit coordination, risk management, and governance
* Finance systems optimisation and process improvement
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver accurate monthly Board reporting, forecasts, and cash flow analysis
* Lead annual budgets and rolling forecasts, analysing performance and variances
* Ensure profitability and cost control across in-home care services
* Oversee aged care financial reporting, client budgets, subsidies, and unspent funds
* Maintain audit-ready financial records and manage external audits
* Oversee payroll compliance, statutory reporting, and financial controls
* Drive system improvements across finance and care management platforms
* Lead and develop the finance team and partner with senior leaders
About You
You are a commercially focused finance professional with strong technical capability and aged care experience.
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior finance role
* Proven experience in Home Care Package / Support at Home financial management
* Strong understanding of aged care funding, pricing, and compliance
* Advanced financial analysis, reporting, and governance skills
* Confident stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
