The Opportunity
The Head of Retail Distribution is primarily responsible for the delivery of the intermediary sales strategy. Reporting to the executive team, the successful candidate will drive profitable growth through new business generation and the management of existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Growth: Develop a sustainable sales and revenue growth pipeline and achieve sales targets across a defined set of clients
* Team Leadership: Oversee, direct, and support a team of six professionals covering Intermediary, High Net Worth, and research house relationships across multiple geographies
* Relationship Management: Manage the development and retention of significant new and existing client and business relationships
* Channel Development: Lead multi‐channel strategy and coordination, including the development of new segments and strategic partnerships
* Cross‐Functional Collaboration: Work closely with investment teams, product specialists, and marketing to represent firm capabilities and co‐develop integrated plans
* Market Analysis: Provide management input regarding market developments and trends to help formulate effective strategic responses.
Experience and Qualifications
* Professional Background: More than 10 years of relevant experience in funds management distribution is required, preferably within a high‐quality asset management firm
* Leadership History: Proven expertise in managing and developing high‐performing individuals and teams
* Industry Network: A strong established network across the industry and a proven ability to build rapport with key stakeholders
* Education: A degree in a related discipline or industry‐recognized qualifications is required, with a post‐graduate qualification preferred
* Skills: High level of intellect, professional integrity, and the ability to operate autonomously with complex accounts.
