Over the past few months, our Head of Safety has been working with the team at Stockland to define a new Safety strategy. It's not just about systems and compliance it's about building a culture of care, accountability, and long-term impact. This is a transformative piece of work and now we're building a team to bring it to life.
We are seeking a
National WHS Senior Manager Apartments and Urban Regen
to lead the development and implementation of our safety strategy for high-density, mixed-use and urban regeneration projects. This role partners directly with our Apartments and Urban Communities business and reports to the Head of Safety. You will be part of the safety leadership team and work closely with senior leaders to influence how safety is embedded into the design, development, and delivery of complex urban projects and drive a proactive, risk-based safety culture.
This is a rare opportunity for a passionate Senior WHS professional to shape safety outcomes in some of the most ambitious residential and urban regeneration developments in the country.
What You'll Do
* Partner with senior stakeholders to embed a proactive, risk-based safety culture.
* Lead WHS strategy and initiatives across urban and apartment projects.
* Provide expert guidance on WHS compliance, systems, and continuous improvement.
* Influence design and delivery to ensure safety is embedded from the ground up.
* Operate with high visibility and strategic influence (no direct reports initially).
About You
You are a senior WHS professional who brings confidence, credibility, and deep technical expertise. You thrive in complex environments and enjoy shaping culture, not just processes. You want to make a meaningful and lasting impact on how safety is experienced across high-density projects and major urban places.
Experience & Skills That Count
* Extensive WHS experience in high-density urban and vertical build projects, ideally billion-dollar or multiphase developments.
* Strong technical knowledge of design integration and construction safety.
* Ability to influence design teams and external partners.
* Skilled in serious incident investigations, crisis response, and WHS systems implementation.
* Diploma or Degree in WHS, Environmental Management, or related technical field.
