As a Retail Pharmacist, you will be responsible for optimizing drug therapy by identifying, resolving, and preventing drug-related problems to improve therapeutic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Optimize Drug Therapy: Direct and coordinate the activities and delivery of pharmacy services to ensure patients receive safe and effective treatment.
2. Lead Pharmacy Team: Supervise and verify the accuracy of all work completed by support personnel during an assigned shift.
3. Foster Compliance: Operate within the limits of pharmacy policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with target drug programs, formulary management, medication management initiatives, and adverse drug event monitoring programs.
Requirements:
* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD): A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution is required. No experience in lieu of a degree is accepted.
* Licenses and Certifications: A pharmacist license in the state of practice and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration (MCSR) are preferred.
* Experience: 2-3 years of experience working as a pharmacist is preferred.
Desirable Qualities:
* Attention to Detail: Extensive knowledge in all areas of pharmacy, including IV Admixtures, Drug Information, Ambulatory, Manufacturing, and Drug Distribution.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with colleagues and patients.
* Continuing Education: Must complete 20 CE credits annually.
