What you'll do * Be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of priority projects that deliver on shared efforts to improve service outcomes for rural and remote communities. * Coordinate and deliver responsive, time critical, expert, and high-level policy, strategy advice and strategic support to the ED on matters of significance to the Deputy Director-General, Director-General, and the Minister. * Lead consultation, negotiation and work in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver on key strategic priorities for rural and remote health that may also have an impact state-wide. * Manage and oversee the ORRH's response to a range of identified complex clinical and non-clinical issues and provide advice on solutions, including contributing and influencing the resolution of practical outcomes through representation at both federal and state level forums. * Mange multiple priorities and apply sound project management framework to ensure projects are budgeted for and managed effectively against performance and resource allocation. * Provide leadership that fosters a culture of quality improvements and develops staff capability and capacity to deliver high quality outcomes and meet organisational objectives. About you * High-level written and oral communication skills including highly developed communication, influencing, policy analysis, strategy design and problem-solving skills with the ability to negotiate and assert yourself while developing productive and positive partnerships. * Demonstrated high-level experience in strategy development and coordination within a large complex environment, including the proven ability to analyse and integrate information from many sources and lead and oversee the completion of multiple projects * Ability to lead change in the pursuit of quality improvement and improved health outcomes across the rural and remote health sector. * Demonstrated ability to liaise, collaborate and negotiate with relevant areas within the Department, Hospital and Health Services, external stakeholders, and consumers to design and deliver innovative solutions for rural and remote communities. * Demonstrated leadership at a senior level, with the ability to successfully lead a team, set direction, motivate and inspire staff, promoting an environment where staff are valued, developed, and coached to perform at their full potential. * Demonstrated high-level knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and strategic content that relates to rural and remote health both at the state and national level.
