LET'S EXPLORE THE JOB

Are you driven by the power of strategic communication and community connection? In this influential role as Communications and Strategy Lead (Mayor's Office), you'll shape how the Mayor communicates with the people of Lake Macquarie and key stakeholders across the region.

You'll lead the creation and delivery of communication strategies that align with the Mayor's priorities, working closely with internal teams and Council's Communications unit. From media relations and messaging to policy support and public engagement, your work will help strengthen community trust and elevate Council initiatives.

You'll also play a key role in preparing the Mayor for public appearances and Council events, offering strategic advice and ensuring clear, timely communication.

Your ability to craft compelling messages, build relationships, and influence stakeholders sets you apart. You're confident working across diverse communication channels and thrive in complex or political environments where your judgement and adaptability are key.

You bring a collaborative spirit and a flexible work ethic, capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
