This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, aspiring and customer focused Retail Manager to join out ever growing and well-loved family business. In this fast paced, multifaceted role, you are required to perform tasks to the standards expected to deliver the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities

Your principal duties and tasks will be to:

* Manage the day-to-day retail operations of the store to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently whilst optimising profits.
* Ensure the delivery of customer service is of a high standard at all times to assure customer satisfaction.
* Ensure customer enquiries are handled in a courteous, timely and accurate manner which can include advising them on product use.
* Manage levels of stock and purchases (non-dispensary) and maintain records for store related expenses.
* Promote the store's products and services including ensuring that pricing and display of products in store are compliant and kept up to date as per Buyer/Campaign instructions.
* Build and maintain customer rapport and loyalty.
* Address customer complaints about goods and services in a professional and timely manner and escalate to Owner or Area Manager as, and when, required.
* Interview, hire and induct new employees. Ensure employees are well-informed on current sales and promotions.
* Ensure front of pharmacy staff receive training in safe work practices and enforce these as necessary.
* Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among employees and promote a positive working environment.
* Ensure front of pharmacy staff receive training in the store security procedures, comply with them and enforce these as and if necessary.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and the business' safety policies, directives, practices and procedures.
* All other duties related to the position of Retail Manager.

Skills and Qualifications of Candidate

* Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of formal qualifications. Bachelor degree could be beneficial.
* At least 3 years of retail experience in high volume, fast-paced Pharmacy.
* Strong conflict and resolution experience, and the ability to de-escalate situations.
* Proven ability in working towards sales targets and KPIs.
* The ability to build strong and effective relationships with all levels of staff.
* You have a motivated, proactive, and positive outlook with the willingness to learn and grow with the business.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
