Support Young People to Thrive
We are seeking Youth Workers to join our team in Batemans Bay. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
* Provide support and supervision to young people participating in the program
* Educate young people through programs relating to interpersonal and living skills
* Respond to incidents and make accurate reports of events
* Maintain facilities and complete meal preparation alongside young people
* Contribute to case planning-monitoring meetings with the Case Coordinator
* Maintain residential files ensuring behaviour records, progress notes are filed correctly
* Support participants to maintain acceptable standards of participant conduct
* Resolve participant complaints or refer them to supervisor as required
* Supervise young people when attending off-site activities
Requirements for Success
* Relevant qualification or experience in working with youth in the community
* Knowledge of mental health issues, substance use treatment, and working with youth
* Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills
* Understanding of adolescent mental health issues and duty of care
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Current NSW Drivers Licence
* Evidence of Covid 19 Vaccination
