The Opportunity
Yurra is seeking a highly organised and proactive Asset Planner Scheduler to support the effective planning, coordination, and optimisation of our asset portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring asset compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency across all Yurra projects.
The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining asset readiness while contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the asset management function.
This position operates within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, as Yurra continues to grow and evolve rapidly.
About you:
This is a client-facing role, requiring a person with a friendly and composed demeanour, coupled with strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be able to think quickly, remain calm under pressure, and approach challenges with a logical mindset.
They should be comfortable engaging and liaising with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating both structure and flexibility in their planning. Attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where organisation and communication are essential. The right individual will take pride in finding innovative solutions and ensuring that assets are operated safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Forecast and schedule servicing and maintenance for fleet, plant, and small engine equipment.
• Book and coordinate internal and external service providers.
• Create and manage purchase orders for maintenance, repairs, and parts.
• Conduct and support Asset Quality Check Inspections.
• Coordinate internal and external asset hire logistics and communication.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and documentation.
• Support asset compliance checks, registrations, and onboarding processes.
• Assist with current projects and provide coordination support to additional Yurra stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and maintaining preventive maintenance plans and reporting.
• Coordinate procurement of Uniforms, PPE and consumables.
• Assist with the procurement of new assets and disposal of retired assets
• Assist with the tracking of vehicle utilisation and consumables.
• Work closely with the Asset Controller to continuously improve and grow the asset space.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in maintenance coordination.
• Strong administrative, planning, and scheduling skills.
• Knowledge of service scheduling, procurement, and asset management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance and safety.
• Proficiency with MS Office and asset management software (e.g., Procore, MYOB, or similar).
• Compliance Knowledge.
