Senior Social Worker – DFV Education & Workforce Capability

Your New Role
This is a senior, hands-on education and capability-building role focused on strengthening the frontline health response to Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) across Metro South Health. You will:
* Design, deliver and evaluate high-quality, evidence-based and trauma-informed DFV education and training for frontline health workers across Metro South Health
* Work closely with the Social Worker Advanced (DFV) and key stakeholders to uplift workforce capability using contemporary education models
* Support reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement activities aligned with the DFV Specialist Health Workforce Program reform agenda
* Act as a trusted DFV education reference point, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and internal and external partners
About you:
Education
You are an experienced and values-driven Social Worker with strong DFV expertise and a passion for education, workforce capability and system reform. You are:
* Highly experienced in Domestic and Family Violence practice, including delivering contemporary, evidence-based training and education
* A competent stakeholder with strong engagement and communication skills, and the ability to influence, advise and collaborate across multidisciplinary environments
* Highly organised, adaptable and able to prioritise competing demands in a complex health service setting
* Committed to continuous improvement, trauma-informed practice and supporting reform through education, evaluation and service development

Social Work Department
The Social Work Department was established in 1965 and presently employs sixty social workers. The main focus of all social work activities is to deliver the highest quality services to patients, their families and carers throughout all wards and clinical units of the Hospital. The Social Work Department conducts practice based research in order to contribute to the development of knowledge regarding psychosocial issues in health care.
