About the Kapooka Health Centre
Located just 10 minutes from Wagga Wagga at Blamey Barracks - "Home of the Soldier", the Kapooka Health Centre facilities are part of the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC) and plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare to new recruits.
Spanning across two building, Kapooka offers variety with a 50 bed low dependency ward operating 24/7 and a multidisciplinary clinic delivering primary health care Monday to Friday, offering a broad spectrum of healthcare services, including nursing, medical, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy.
What you'll do
• Work within the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy
• Intake assessment, risk assessment and crisis intervention
• Case formulation and treatment planning
• Programmatic treatment interventions
• Manage patient clinical records, filing of hard copy reports, booking and recall of patients
What you bring
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a general Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
