Accounting Specialist Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting, with expertise in Xero.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience in using payroll software. They should also have excellent time management skills, be proactive, and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
The role involves coordinating setup, collection, and processing of clients' bookkeeping records, reconciliation, preparation, and review of BAS and IAS, data entry, and periodic and annual calculation and reconciliation of various business taxes.
The Accounting Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining fixed asset registers, claim depreciation under various methods, and performing general administration and support functions as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate setup, collection, and process clients bookkeeping records
* Data input and maintenance
* Reconciliation, preparation, and review of BAS and IAS statements
* Process Income Tax Return data entry and reconciliations
* Liaise with clients and provide exceptional customer service
* Conduct Xero training sessions with clients
* Assist management of workflow processes, reporting, and scheduling
* Review and update client files
