Job Title: Centre Cook
Overview:
The Centre Cook is a part-time position responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children in our childcare centre. As a Centre Cook, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our young students.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 15 months to 5 years.
2. Plan and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
3. Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
4. Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic.
5. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the childcare centre.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting.
* Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
