About The Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a technical consultant.

As a client training consultant, you will be responsible for providing full technical end-to-end installation, from server unboxing to workstation installations. You will also undertake Red Hat server installations, configure servers as required, and provide training to clients on the use of software applications.


Key Responsibilities

* Installation and Configuration: Perform full technical end-to-end installation, from server unboxing, to imaging the server to workstation installations, including printer and handheld device setup and configuration.
* Red Hat Server Installation: Undertake Red Hat server installations, configuring servers as required.
* Training: Full training of clients in the use of all Hollander software applications virtually as well as on-site at client locations.
* Documentation: Creation of training materials and support documentation.
* Reporting: Creation of post-install reports for management.
* Travel: Travel country wide as required for on-site installations, training, and software consultancy.


Requirements

* Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in a desktop/software support role or equivalent IT related bachelor's degree.
* Network and Desktop Support: Previous network and desktop support/service desk/training experience.
* Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows PC Operating systems (Win 8, Win 10).
* Linux Environment: A firm understanding of Linux RedHat operating environment and SQL database knowledge.
* Software Installation and Troubleshooting: Ability to install and troubleshoot software and network configurations.
* Time Management: Capability to manage time and work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
* Interpersonal Skills: Maintain strong interpersonal skills, develop comprehensive industry & product knowledge.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Customer Service: A genuine interest in delivering high quality customer service.
* Adaptability: Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt and learn.
* Teamwork: Ability to communicate and work well within a team.
* Licensing: A current and legally recognised full car driver's license.
* Residency: Be a permanent Australian resident.


Desirable Criteria

* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Software Training Experience: 2 years' experience in software training.
* Information Technology Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline.
* Mechanical Knowledge: A healthy knowledge of motor vehicles and their componentry.
