The Internal Communications Officer is a member of the Strategic Engagement Team.

The branch delivers on the strategic communications priorities of Queensland Health. SCB provides strategic communications advice and manages all communications outputs for the Department of Health and acts as system leader in supporting communication activities delivered by Hospital and Health Services.SCB oversees:
- communications strategy development, delivery and evaluation
- statewide behaviour change marketing campaigns
- consumer research and insights
- media and issues management
- corporate and clinical communications
- internal communications
- partnerships and sponsorships
- strategic stakeholder engagement
- digital and social media content production and management
- creative, design and audio-visual production services
- online and web services
- events management.
