Robert Half Executive Search has been engaged exclusively by one of Australia's leading healthcare service providers to appoint an interim Finance Executive at its Melbourne headquarters.
Our client is a values-driven organisation with a strong track record in aged care and health services. With continued investment, facility redevelopment, and targeted M&A growth, the business is focused on innovation, service excellence, and adopting global best practices in care delivery.
This interim leadership role offers exposure to the Group CFO, COO, and senior executives while playing a pivotal part in shaping financial performance across a highly regulated and fast-evolving sector.
The Role
Reporting to the Group CFO, with operational responsibility to the COO and Health Services GMs, you will lead the accounting and finance function for the Health Services division.
Your remit will span financial control, reporting, compliance, and business improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing monthly management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
* Driving robust financial controls, policies, and processes that are fit for purpose.
* Delivering accurate and timely financial insights to support executive decision-making and Board reporting.
* Partnering with senior executives and site managers on budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning.
* Leading process improvements to streamline transactions and enhance business outcomes.
* Supporting change initiatives, including business restructuring, acquisition accounting, and integration projects.
Your Profile
You are a CA/CPA-qualified senior finance leader with proven experience in managing complex finance functions and leading high-performing teams.
With a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen, you bring:
* Broad experience across financial control, planning, and performance improvement.
* Strong leadership skills to inspire, mentor, and empower finance teams.
* A customer-centric mindset, positioning finance as a key business partner.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Previous experience in public services healthcare, aged care, or another highly regulated industry will be necessary.
