**About the Role**
As a key leadership position within the Serco team, this is a strategic and operational role, responsible for leading and delivering the WHS and Injury Management services for Fiona Stanley Hospital in accordance with contractual requirements, relevant standards/ legislation and industry best practice. You will lead a well-established team of professionals in support and delivery of services to the hospital including:
- Provide oversight to the development of relationships with stakeholder groups (internal and external) to understand and leverage lessons learnt, identify best practice and to strengthen our safety culture.
- Develop and roll-out specific WHS & Wellbeing campaigns in response to trends identified from lead and/or lag indicators and aligned to the WHS Strategic Objectives.
- Monitor developments, trends, legislation and regulations related to WHS, evaluate their impact the hospital and communicate impacts to the business.
- Develop and lead a high impact team of committed WHS Specialists and Injury Management Advisors that collaborate with the business to deliver WHS outcomes.
**About You**
You are a passionate leader with demonstrated experience in delivering WHS, Wellbeing and Injury Management services. You have a balanced focus on strategy and operations and can provide clarity and direction for the WHS & Injury Management service aligned to the broader business context and goals. You will have a solution focussed approach and demonstrated experience in Stakeholder Management and Team Leadership. You hold the ethos: Your work is never too urgent or important that you cannot take the time to do it safely. **What we're looking for**:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to WHS and Injury Management or demonstrated equivalence in a combination of formal education and other experience (desirable)
- Significant experience in delivering safety, health and workplace rehabilitation/ injury management programs with established professional networks in relevant industry sectors.
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Extensive capability with WHS reporting including KPI reports, risk assessment, audit, incident/ injury investigation reports, business cases and analytical reporting
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create and sustain effective partnership approaches with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of communication, research, analytical and consultative skills.
- Ability to work and influence at a leadership level whilst being able to successfully engage at an operational level.
- Application of methodologies and legislative requirements to drive improved service performance in injury management, wellbeing and WHS services.
- This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role._
