About the Role
We are supporting a leading international renewable energy developer in the search for an experienced HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental performance on a major onshore wind farm project in Queensland.
This is a key site-based leadership role responsible for ensuring all construction and operational activities meet the highest safety and environmental standards.
The HSE Manager will play a critical part in driving a proactive safety culture, implementing robust systems, and ensuring compliance with both company policies and Australian regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all HSE activities across the project site to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and project requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems, procedures, and plans tailored to the project scope.
Conduct and oversee site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Provide HSE leadership, guidance, and training to all personnel and contractors on site.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in safety performance.
Liaise with project management, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety and environmental objectives.
Manage HSE reporting, including performance metrics, audits, and incident analyses.
Ensure environmental compliance, including monitoring, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
Minimum 5-8 years' experience in HSE management within renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience managing HSE programs on large-scale wind farm or renewable energy projects.
Strong understanding of Australian OHS and environmental legislation and standards.
Proven ability to lead diverse teams and build positive safety cultures on complex projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Current White Card and valid driver's licence.
