Automation Specialist - 2nd Shift
This role involves working as a 2nd shift automation specialist, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical equipment and systems within a facility.
Main Responsibilities:
* Electrical Installations and Troubleshooting: Interpret electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Install, inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical equipment throughout the facility.
* Electrical Work and Safety: Perform electrical work safely and professionally in accordance with Federal and State Regulations.
* Equipment Assembly and Repair: Assemble, install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
* Control Systems and Building Systems: Repair and troubleshoot AC/DC variable speed drives, motor controls, PLCs, process controls, and building systems such as lighting, alarms, and security systems.
Requirements:
* Certifications and Experience: Possess and maintain a current Massachusetts Journeyman Electrical License or higher. At least 5 years of experience in the field or electrical apprenticeship, or 2 years of technical school graduation plus 2 years of field experience.
* Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, programming skills, computer literacy, knowledge of electrical methods, materials, tools, and practices, ability to interpret sketches and prints, dependable, and safety-conscious.
Physical Demands:
* Standing for most of the shift
* Lifting up to approximately 50 lbs
* Pushing, pulling, turning, twisting, bending
* Repetitive hand motions
