As an SEO Strategist at Vastly, you'll own the full SEO journey for your clients: from site audits and content planning to execution, optimisation, and reporting. You'll make strategic decisions, learn directly from our Managing Director and SEO Director, and grow your skills in a collaborative, supportive, fast-moving environment where ambition is encouraged - but burnout isn't.
What You'll Do
Own the Strategy
Be the go-to SEO expert for your clients, ensuring the end-to-end roadmap aligns with their core business goals
Conduct keyword research, plan content, and create briefs for copywriters and designers
Manage backlinks, citations, Google Business Profiles to dominate local search
Optimise for LLMs and AI-powered search, ensuring brand visibility across search platforms
Track & Optimise Performance
Lead 6-monthly strategy reviews and plan forward growth
Monitor client SEO weekly, spot trends, and optimise for measurable results
Technical & Analytical Excellence
Keep client websites technically strong and search-engine ready
Conduct regular audits and fix technical issues with our developer
Use tools like SE Ranking, Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC, and AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) like a pro
Collaborate & Communicate
Brief developers, designers, and copywriters clearly
Keep clients and internal teams informed with transparent updates
Collaborate with Paid Media specialists to share insights and identify opportunities as part of an integrated search strategy
Innovate & Improve
Stay ahead of SEO trends, Google updates, and AI developments
Lead tests, share learnings, and contribute to process improvements
About You
2+ years experience in SEO strategy, ideally in an agency
Strong SEO knowledge (on-page, off-page, technical)
Experienced with SEO tools (SE Ranking, Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC)
Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive
Excellent written and verbal communicator
WordPress or similar CMS experience
Comfortable managing multiple clients end-to-end

Reports to: Head of Marketing Operations
Works closely with: SEO Director, Clients, Account Managers, Developers, Designers, Copywriters, Paid Media Specialists
