Technical Pre‐Sales & Solutions Engineer

An established global renewable energy technology provider is seeking a Technical Pre‐Sales & Solutions Engineer to support continued growth across utility‐scale and commercial renewable energy projects in Australia.
This role plays a critical part in bridging engineering, sales and customer engagement, providing pre‐sales technical expertise across photovoltaic (PV) inverter and battery energy storage (BESS) solutions. You will support project tenders, solution design, technical documentation, and customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide pre‐sales technical support for PV inverters, PCS and BESS products, including solution design and technical clarification.
* Support tenders and bidding activities for large‐scale PV, BESS and hybrid projects, preparing technical proposals and documentation.
* Interpret customer requirements and develop compliant, commercially competitive technical solutions.
* Review and prepare technical documentation in support of commercial submissions.
* Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales, engineering and commercial teams.
* Ensure proposed solutions align with Australian grid codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to technical presentations, customer workshops and market engagement activities.
* Track market trends, customer feedback and competitor insights to support continuous improvement of technical offerings.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics, Automation or a related discipline (Master's degree advantageous).
* 3+ years experience in the renewable energy sector.
* Strong understanding of PV systems, BESS solutions and electrical principles.
* Experience in pre‐sales, technical sales, bidding or project support roles for renewable energy projects.
* Exposure to inverter manufacturers, EPCs or project developers is highly desirable.
* Proficient in CAD tools and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
* Self‐motivated, adaptable and able to engage effectively with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Full working rights in Australia.
