**The Role**
An exciting and dynamic position for an experienced professional. This EL 1 position is a part of a small team responsible for strategic estate and infrastructure planning within Air Force Headquarters.
This position will lead key functions within Air Force related to airbase infrastructure strategic planning, providing the staff capability and capacity necessary to accelerate national airbase network strategic planning. With lines of effort derived from the Defence Strategic Review and National Defence Strategy, and Air Force's evolving concepts such as Agile Operations, the incumbent will lead the development and fusion of air base infrastructure strategies, concepts and policies with strategic and operational requirements.
The result will be Air Force's articulation of widely consulted and integrated airbase infrastructure requirements that supports an effective national airbase network. At times working between Air Force senior leaders and other elements of the Defence organisation, this position requires demonstrated high performance, strategic acumen, initiative, professionalism, communication, collaboration, adaptability, time/resource management, and leadership skills commensurate with the EL 1 work level standard.
This role will gain an in depth understanding of Air Force's operational capabilities and associated interfaces with air base capabilities. The incumbent will regularly provide advice and briefs with limited direction and supervision, and provide support to Air Force's senior leadership attending committees and forums on matters related to Air Force strategic estate and infrastructure planning.
