In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in improving cardiovascular research in South Australia. You will foster collaboration, manage the SA Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN), and administer state-based research grants. Your expertise will oversee operations, manage key committees, build relationships with stakeholders, and coordinate events to raise the profile of cardiovascular research.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Committee and Secretariat Support: Provide operational and strategic support to the SA CVRN Executive and Rising Stars Sub-Committees. This includes secretariat duties such as minute-taking, action items, and reporting.
* Grant Management: Develop, promote, and administer Heart Foundation SA research grants for CVRN members through transparent processes.

* Collaboration and Opportunity Development: Identify collaboration and funding opportunities across clinical, research, industry, and government sectors, and coordinate activities with other cardiovascular research networks.
* Member Onboarding and Database Management: Coordinate the induction of new members and maintain the integrity of the SA CVRN member database.
* Communications and Representation: Support digital and social media efforts to raise the profile of SA CVRN and its members and represent the Network at external meetings and forums.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in health and medical research or a related field. You will also possess:
* A strong understanding of the health and medical research landscape in SA and Australia, including funding schemes and networks.
* Expertise in grant management and administration.
* Experience in organizing research, capacity-building, and networking events.
* Excellent project management, organizational, and administrative skills.
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience managing and working with committees.
* Strong collaboration and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
