Workforce Lead
Location: NSW (Hybrid – Office & Regional Travel) offices Wagga Wagga, Nowra, Southern HIghlands.

As we continue our growth, we are seeking an experienced Workforce Lead to work closely with the CEO and lead all workforce operations, planning, and compliance across the organisation.
The Role
The Workforce Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing workforce planning, recruitment, compliance, and performance across all regions. This role reports directly to the CEO and plays a critical role in building a stable, compliant, and engaged workforce.
You will lead and support Care Team Leaders and work closely with Service Leads and Care Managers to ensure workforce capacity aligns with client needs and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Leadership & Strategy
* Lead the workforce function across all regions
* Work directly with the CEO on workforce planning, growth, and risk management
* Provide regular workforce insights, reports, and recommendations to the CEO
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Oversee end-to-end recruitment of support workers and key operational roles
* Ensure onboarding, inductions, and mandatory checks are completed and compliant
* Build and maintain talent pipelines to support service delivery and growth
Compliance & Risk
* Ensure workforce compliance with the SCHADS Award, Fair Work obligations, and internal policies
* Oversee mandatory checks including NDIS Worker Screening, Police Checks, and WWCC
* Support workforce-related incidents, conduct matters, and risk management processes
Performance & Engagement
* Support and coach Care Team Leaders in performance management
* Manage absenteeism, conduct, and performance matters in line with HR frameworks
* Drive staff engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives
Systems & Reporting
* Oversee and optimise workforce systems including ShiftCare, BrightHR, and Microsoft 365
* Ensure accurate workforce data across rostering, onboarding, leave, and compliance records
* Develop and maintain workforce dashboards and reports using Power BI
* Provide clear workforce metrics to the CEO, including staffing capacity, compliance status, recruitment progress, leave, and workforce risks
* Work with internal operational leaders to improve data accuracy, system adoption, and compliance across workforce platforms, liaising with system providers where required
About You
You are a confident, structured leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels and is comfortable working directly with executive leadership.
You will have:
* Proven experience in workforce, HR, or operations leadership (disability, aged care, or community services preferred)
* Strong knowledge of the SCHADS Award and workforce compliance
* Experience leading teams and supporting managers
* Confidence using workforce systems and data to drive decisions
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
