Our new Crowne Plaza hotel in Geelong is a landmark development that will redefine premium accommodation for both leisure and corporate travellers. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering memorable experiences for our guests.
About the Role
* We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a proven track record of managing front office operations, creating standard operating procedures, and overseeing staff training and integration of technology.
* You will be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination during the pre-opening phase, as well as conducting trial stays and testing of front office procedures to identify areas for improvement.
* As an Operations Manager, you will also work closely with the sales and marketing team to develop promotional materials, packages, and campaigns to attract guests and promote our loyalty program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and implement effective standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the front office department.
* Develop and lead a high-performing team of front office staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
* Oversee the setup and integration of technology such as property management systems and point-of-sale systems.
* Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance the guest experience and drive business results.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure sufficient inventory of essential items and liaise with suppliers and vendors as necessary.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Hotel Management or Business Administration.
* At least three years of guest service/hotel experience, with at least two years in a management capacity.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
* Strong communication skills and passion for developing your team.
