Costi Seafood is seeking a skilled Senior Chef with strong wok cooking experience to join our kitchen team at our busy takeaway seafood store in Cooranbong, Lake Macquarie.
This role focuses on preparing premium seafood meals using Asian-style wok cooking techniques in a fast-paced takeaway environment.
This is a senior kitchen role requiring genuine experience working with wok burners and high-heat seafood cookery.

The Role
• Prepare premium seafood dishes using high-heat wok cooking techniques
• Cook to order in a busy takeaway kitchen environment
• Work with high-quality seafood including prawns, fish, calamari and shellfish
• Maintain consistency, speed and presentation across all dishes
• Assist with prep, stock management and kitchen organisation
• Maintain strong food safety and hygiene standards
• Support the kitchen team during busy services
About You
To be considered you must have genuine wok cooking experience.
• Minimum 3+ years experience cooking with wok burners in an Asian or seafood kitchen
• Strong understanding of high-heat wok technique, timing and flavour balance
• Experience working with seafood highly regarded
• Able to work quickly and calmly in a high-volume takeaway environment
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Full working rights in Australia
This role is NOT suitable for applicants without professional Asian seafood / wok experience.
