We are partnering with a global manufacturing leader to find an IT Support Technician for their Hastings facility. This is a 12-month, fully on-site contract designed for a self-motivated professional who enjoys high levels of independence and the variety of a physical site. The Role As the primary technical point of contact, you will manage the day-to-day IT health of the site. Your office is located directly within the facility, placing you in the ideal position to support both corporate staff and operational teams without the lag of a remote service desk. This is a highly autonomous position. You will be trusted to manage your own schedule, triage incoming requests, and maintain site standards without the need for constant supervision. Key Responsibilities Site Ownership: Act as the "Face of IT," providing Level 1 & 2 support for all local staff. Hardware & Systems: Troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices, as well as specialized operational hardware (scanners and thermal printers). Identity & Access: Managing user onboarding, O365/Active Directory configurations, and device imaging (Windows 10/11). Local Infrastructure: Handling basic networking tasks such as patching and TCP/IP troubleshooting. Asset Management: Maintaining a clear and accurate inventory of all on-site IT assets. What We’re Looking For Independent Mindset: 1–3 years of experience in IT Support with a proven ability to work solo and manage your own workflow. Communication: A professional who can explain technical concepts to anyone, from the front office to the dispatch team. Versatility: You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and enjoy a role that gets you out from behind a desk.
