Job Overview
The primary objective of this role is to perform routine maintenance tasks on light vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. This includes conducting technical inspections and classifications, identifying worn or faulty parts, and replacing them as necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
* Removing and replacing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
* Reassembling, testing, cleaning, and adjusting repaired or replaced parts
* Carrying out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
* Testing and repairing electrical systems including lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection
* Inspecting vehicles and issuing road-worthiness certificates
This role requires skilled and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics who can work on specialized military vehicles. The successful candidate will contribute directly to supporting the Australian Defence Force.
