Job Title: HR & Business Support Officer


About the Role:



* This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a HR & Business Support Officer. The successful candidate will provide high-quality transactional HR services, expert guidance to employees and managers, and ensure HR processes run smoothly both within and outside Workday.

* You will be responsible for delivering core HR administrative processes and operational services, including first-line support to employees on general HR queries, managing and delivering HR administrative tasks, and providing accurate and timely guidance to managers and employees on HR procedures and policies.

* The role supports broader business operations, including facilities, insurance, compliance, contract administration, and coordination of key organisational processes.





Key Responsibilities:



* Provide First-Line Support: Offer day-to-day support to employees on HR-related matters.

* Manage HR Administrative Tasks: Deliver core HR administrative processes and operational services, ensuring HR processes run smoothly within and outside Workday.

* Expert Guidance: Provide accurate and timely guidance to managers and employees on HR procedures and policies.

* Broad Business Operations: Support facilities, insurance, compliance, contract administration, and coordination of key organisational processes.

* Employee Development: Contribute to employee development and performance management, including coordinating training, promotions, transfers, organisational changes, and assisting managers with goal setting, performance evaluations, and review conversations.

* Employment Legislation: Provide advice on employment legislation across all Australian states, staying updated on regulatory changes.

* Workplace Investigations: Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations.

* Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including Workday data and HR documents.

* Return-to-Work and Workers' Compensation: Manage return-to-work and workers' compensation processes.

* Recruitment and Selection: Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes in collaboration with line managers, the Country Manager, and external recruitment agencies.

* Annual Salary Review: Coordinate and administer the annual salary review process in Workday with the Country Manager.

* Employee Lifecycle: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, induction, and off-boarding processes.

* Medium to Long-Term Visa Applications: Manage medium to long-term visa applications for the Oceania region in collaboration with an external migration agent.

* HR Projects and Initiatives: Contribute to HR projects and initiatives across the wider HR team (e.g., regional talent projects, grade calibration, policy alignment).

* Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with HR managers across the APAC region and GCS HR representatives, attending meetings to stay updated on group policies and initiatives.

* Team Building and Social Activities: Coordinate team-building and social activities, including team lunches and dinners, in collaboration with the Country Manager and Office Administration, to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

* HR Reports: Prepare and run HR reports as requested by the Finance team and other managers to support business operations and decision-making.

* Employee Surveys: Facilitate the administration of employee surveys (Workday Peakon), analyse ratings and feedback, and support people managers in implementing positive improvements.

* You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert guidance and support.

* You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

* You will have a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.

* You will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations.

* You will have a proven track record of delivering results-oriented solutions and improving processes.

* You will have a strong understanding of technology systems, including Workday and other HR systems.
