The Manufacturing & Engineering business we are partnering with are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join the finance team here in Perth. This role reports into the Finance Manager and plays a key part in overseeing payroll processing, employee onboarding, delivering accurate month-end reporting, performing job cost analysis and allocations, and supporting inventory control and data analysis. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end payroll processing. Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform detailed job cost reviews and ensure correct cost allocation across projects. Support inventory reporting and reconciliation in coordination with warehouse and operations teams. Conduct financial data analysis to support cost management, forecasting, and decision-making. Assist in the implementation of finance system upgrades, automation tools, and reporting enhancements. Prepare general ledger reconciliations and journal entries as part of the monthly close process. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion) ideally. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in payroll, job costing, and month-end reporting. Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Solid understanding of ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel proficiency.
