Seeking Disability Support Workers
Tribe Caandi is a Community Service provider for participants on the NDIS servicing the greater Hobert area. Tribe Caandi is focused on person centered care, participant choice and control of supports and funding to empower people to create their own futures.
The Tribe is seeking dedicated individuals who have a passion for making a difference in participants' lives. The support worker position is on a casual basis up to Level 3 pay for the right applicant.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
* Transporting participants to & from services & activities
* Maintain & establish links to community.
* Promoting independent decision making
* Work within the principles of person-centered practice.
· Interface with other services working in the health sector.
· Domestic activities
· Improving health and wellbeing
· Social and community participation
Highly desirable applicants those who are:
Studying Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Allied health, or applicants who already have experience in the disability sector.
Have a good understanding of the importance of writing case notes and excellent written and spoken English skills.
Applicants must have.
WWVP card
Current police check
First aid certificate
Completed NDIS induction certificate.
A driver's license and fully insured car
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible and reliable
Bonus: Medication Certificate and manual Handling Certificate.
