About the role
Are you passionate about supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing? headspace Emerald is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to provide evidence-based care and empower young people through inclusive, youth‐friendly practices.
Typical day
* Promote and adhere to youth friendly practice principles.
* Monitor and conduct young people's focused clinical assessment on headspace Emerald's young people and ascertain care plan of required needs.
* Deliver evidence-based early/brief intervention therapy, including group interventions and problem solving with young people and their families.
* Work collaboratively with the young person and their families to develop individual treatment plans that are person‐centred and directed by the young person as much as possible.
* Provide an inclusive practice that values the significance of family and friends in a young person's life.
Mandatory Requirements
* Psychologists who have full and current registration to practice with AHPRA and eligible and working towards membership of their relevant peak professional body (APS).
* Social Workers holding an approved Social Work Qualification (Bachelor/Master of Social Work) and who have both the following.
o Completed additional mental health specific training or endorsement in mental health.
o Eligibility, or are working towards membership with their Professional Body: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Occupational Therapists who have full and current professional registration to practice with AHPRA, and who have completed additional mental health specific training or have endorsement in mental health.
* Division 1 Mental Health Nurses, who have completed additional training or who have relevant experience within mental health e.g., with postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing.

* Demonstrated experience working within a high-performance framework where you are accountable for KPIs on program delivery and outcomes, within a fast‐paced solutions focused environment.
* Effective time management and organisational skills.
* A strong communicator, able to quickly build rapport and influence across a diverse range of people.
Other Requirements
* Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption).
* Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice).
