Speech Pathologist Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate Speech Pathologist to work with children who have physical, neurodevelopmental, or mental health conditions associated with developmental delays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating speech pathology services, applying high-level expertise to work with children and developing strategies to overcome the impact of developmental delays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with coordinators and external specialists as needed
* Ability to work in both proactive (planning, screening) and reactive (assess and support as needs arise) spaces
* Offer professional development or training to wider staff on classroom-based strategies
* Provide information sessions or workshops for parents on home-based strategies
* Maintain a database of work conducted and provide regular summary reports
Requirements:
* Qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
* Ability to provide specialized speech and language services and support to students with speech and language impairments
* Knowledge and understanding of the latest trends, research, and impact on speech and language development
* Ability to monitor and evaluate language-impaired students' progress individually and within language/literacy programs
