An exciting opportunity awaits for a Senior Developer to lead the development and modernisation of critical systems, delivering new capability and replacing legacy platforms.
This exciting, ongoing role within the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) at The Administrative Review Tribunal can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.
Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is EL1 $121,755 - $143,202 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.
About the opportunity
The role of the Senior Developer is to provide ongoing support and development for business-critical systems, build new capability and replace all major legacy applications. You will support organisational strategy, with a focus on maintenance, development and modernisation of key business systems and support the achievement of the goals and outcomes of ETG's program of work, delivering definitive benefits realisation from development activities.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical leadership, with the ability to design and deliver complex applications. You will be skilled at developing innovative solutions, enhancing organisational capability and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
You will be well placed to succeed with experience across the Microsoft development stack (including .NET, C#, SQL Server), J2EE, Tomcat Apache, and tools such as Jira and Confluence, along with familiarity with REST APIs, Azure, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
To be successful you will have:
* Demonstrated capability taking responsibility of software development and undertake software development activities.
* Demonstrated experience using agreed software design methods, tools and techniques and building software to ensure standards, functionality, quality, security and systems management compliance.
* Demonstrated experience specifying and designing large or complex software applications, components and modules.
* Demonstrated experience managing and supporting the deployment of the working environment for systems and software life cycle working practices.
* Demonstrated experience leading integration work in line with agreed design, including assessing risks and taking preventative action.
* Knowledge and experience planning and delivering software configuration activities
Qualifications
Desirable
* Degree or post graduate qualifications in information, technology, management and/or related disciplines
* Vocational certification in modern information, communication and technology approaches including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, PRINCE2/PMBOK, etc

* Requirement to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and complete a health declaration.
