Financial Planning Analyst - Aged Care Specialist
About the Role:
This key position involves working in a collaborative environment to provide timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across multiple aged care funding streams. As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting effective grant management, and providing key financial insights that guide strategic decisions and long-term sustainability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare consolidated financial reports and profit & loss statements across all care streams.
* Compile quarterly financial reports for internal and external use.
* Conduct financial benchmarking and submissions including Stewart Brown.
* Perform monthly P&L reviews, variance analysis, and trend forecasting.
* Deliver ad-hoc Prophix reporting and support for board and executive updates.
* Develop financial reports for grant agreements and government obligations.
* Prepare and maintain annual budgets and reforecasts for various programs.
* Conduct rolling forecasts and scenario modeling.
* Align budgets with service delivery in collaboration with operational teams.
* Resolve financial queries from community teams and grant stakeholders.
* Deliver training on reporting tools and financial systems.
* Engage with grant providers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
* Manage financial allocations and segment-aligned journal postings.
* Prepare semi-annual reports and oversee grant expenditure tracking.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA or CA qualification (highly desirable).
* In-depth knowledge of aged care sector regulations and funding models.
* Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
* Demonstrated experience in working with auditors and funding bodies.
* Proficiency in systems such as Epicor, Medius, AvantCare, Prophix, PowerBi.
* Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills.
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
* High attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
