Overview
The Network are seeking an AGSVA NV2 cleared Network Technical Officer working inside a Federal Government environment.
ASAP to 30/06/2027. Open to ACT.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist support to mission-critical IT systems in highly secure, deployed environments.
* Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, support the design and deployment of network solutions, and ensure systems remain operational under challenging conditions, including limited connectivity.
* Maintain and patch systems, manage digital certificates, and develop contingency plans to ensure continuity.
* Contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Mentor junior staff.
Who we are looking for
Must have
* Experience as a Network/Gateway Engineer.
* Demonstrated experience supporting Defence deployed systems.
Specialist ICT Skills
* Networking technologies including Routing, Switching, IPSec, VPN, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS TE.
* Next Generation Firewalls, VoIP, Enterprise Wireless LAN, Network Segmentation and Access Control.
* Network telemetry protocols such as NetFlow and SNMP.
* Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, Skype and Citrix VDI.
* Hypervisor administration and virtualised environments.
Desirable
* Experience with SEA2273 Minerva systems.
* Experience supporting complex IT systems on Navy ship platforms.
* Experience working within Defence or highly secure, regulated environments.
