* Permanent Ongoing Full-time role
* Lead a specialist investigation team responsible for complex and sensitive regulatory matters.
* Play a key role in maintaining integrity across elections, political funding and lobbying regulations.

About the role

The Chief of Investigations leads a specialist team to plan and deliver complex investigations into breaches of electoral, political funding and lobbying laws. The role also oversees compliance operations during election events and contributes to proactive compliance and education initiatives.

This is a full-time ongoing role graded as Clerk 11/12.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

* Relevant tertiary qualification or industry experience.
* Significant experience managing a team of specialist investigators.
* Significant experience in an investigations role utilising contemporary investigative techniques.
* Knowledge of rules of evidence and criminal practice and procedure.
* Political neutrality with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
* Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.

* Describe a complex investigation or compliance matter you have led. How did you determine the lines of enquiry, manage risks and competing priorities and ensured the matter progressed to a sound outcome(maximum 500 words)
* Describe your approach to leading and developing a team to deliver high quality work. How do you set expectations, support development and manage performance issues (maximum 500 words).

You should include a covering letter summarising your skills, knowledge and work experience, along with an up-to-date resume which clearly detail your skills and experience as relevant to this role.
